Get Ideas From Bestselling Products To Create Your Own

Rule 101 before you go and create your own product...

● Research your market to find out what type of product you can create that will sell off the shelves easily.

● Collect hot buttons for your product - what make them sell.

● Outline your product creation

You want to think like a good marketer when outlining what product you're going to create - you don't want to be an inventor. Instead, find a product that's selling well and understand why it's a hot product.

If you don't, you'll find several hours, weeks, or even months were wasted. It won't sell well. No matter what you think. I've been there and done that.

Your product's not going to sell well unless the market is already looking for it. What I mean is that the market already has an idea of what they want in a product. They're already buying products like these. It's very fundamental (but not as common as it should be) in marketing to simply supply your market's demand. That's all it comes down to. The best-selling products are supplying the market's demand.

Make A List Of Hot Buttons

When you have an idea of the type of product that's going to sell like crazy, it's time to follow the sales messages of the best-selling products.

The fun part is, you know what type of marketing messages sell well because of the best-sellers marketing strategies are very transparent. For instance, you can see its salesletter publicly and how he'll follow up with his prospects.

Just like your product creation, you don't want to reinvent the wheel with your sales message. You want to make a list of all these "hot buttons". This is sometimes called "swiping" in copywriting, and it's totally normal but make sure you don't violate copyright in anyway. You simply want to take what's underneath the words and put them in your own words.

Let's analyze the sales page for a hot selling info product called Jamorama.com. Let's say you got Jamorama and you're wanting to create a product like it, but better. You also want to the sales message. For example...

The headline tells me that it's very appealing for this market to be able to play guitar like some of the most well-known names. You definitely want to add this appeal in YOUR sales message too. But WITHOUT infringing on copyright. You must use the same hot buttons, but in your own words.

Check out this first sentence in this opening paragraph. It talks about having the ability to play virtually every song you hear. If you were creating a similar guitar product, you would list that as a hot button that you'll need to add to your sales message too.

Take a look at the top of this page. You'll probably need to make a similar case. And explain that your approach solves this problem. Because if it's on this great sales page, then it must be a big concern for the target market.

Most importantly, you want to make sure you fulfill these hot buttons in your product.

But for your own product, you need to have your own credibility - making you different as a 'character' to your prospects but using the same hot buttons.

Your credibility:

● Establish some credibility before sales talk, or else your prospect never listen. This can be done by introducing yourself briefly with your credentials. Or you could start by firing a couple specific testimonials or endorsements. Although underused, the testimonial headline is very powerful.

● Use specifics throughout your copy to gain trust and confidence. Because they are believable. For example, your former client didn't lose over 100 pounds. She lost 106 pounds.

● Give away a lot of information, prove you know your subject, establish yourself as an expert, and you'll gain trust and confidence.

● Endorsements from experts rocket your credibility.

● Specific results-oriented testimonials from past customers rocket your credibility even more.

● Never try to fool your reader or else you'll lose credibility. And prospects are smarter than you.

● Position yourself as a specialist in your niche.

● Your sincerity, enthusiasm, and leadership add to your prospect's confidence in you.

Can't write but got some money to invest?

If you're not much of a writer or a speaker, you can still have your own original ebook. Although expensive, the software "Dragon Naturally Speaking" at www.nuance.com/naturallyspeaking/ allows you to talk into a microphone as it automatically types out the words for you.

This is good if:

● You can't write

● You enjoy talking more than writing, yet you don't have good enough public speaking skills to record and sell mp3s.

It's also amazing how fast you can pump out an entire ebook. One hour of talking into a microphone normally contains enough content to fill an entire ebook.

Software's pretty cool eh? :-)
