how to get more traffic

Are you using Paypal, 2Checkout.com or
Clickbank.com to accept credit card payments
right now?

Wait. If you don't have a product to sell
yet, please continue to read this article
because it'll help you in the future.

I use 3 of them ... but for different strategies
depending on what I want to accomplish.

What most people did not realize is that,
selecting certain credit card processing
company can bring in more traffic to
their website. I'll explain ...

I use Clickbank.com for my online niche
sites because I want to leverage on getting
affiliates to generate free traffic for me.

Because of the brand, Clickbank.com is ALREADY
well-known by many affiliate marketers as
the "goto" place to find good products
to promote.

Wham. You get free traffic.

See how selecting the company that collects
your credit card payments can effectively
increase your website traffic WITHOUT you
doing anything else?

Yeah, Clickbank's fee is higher than most
of the other companies. For me, I can't be
bothered much about this minor 'lost'. I
rather earn some money than NO MONEY at all.
Besides, you're leveraging on Clickbank.com's
network for free. That's very good.

Another example is 2Checkout. It has its own
'shopping portal' at http://shop.2checkout.com/

You can get traffic from there as well if your
product is listed. I guess it'll work very well
for tangible products because of the images.
Don't ask me who will go there to buy, but
people do buy from there.

It's hard to believe but I've received orders
from 2Checkout's "shopping portal" before.

This small strategy can generate a lot of traffic
for your website if it works out as planned.
If it doesn't, you don't have to lose anything.
I've been using a lot of 'hidden' strategies for
my online businesses that have been responsible
for their success today.

How long can you stand?

I'm just back from Singapore yesterday.

It was a fun trip but today, my girlfriend, Emily
falls sick. :-( She's not an internet marketer
but makes some money from Google Adsense. You can
see her casual blog at:

http://www.emilykhoo.com

Tons of pictures there.

Then, my staff is also sick today. I guess
it must be the weather.

So I end up doing A LOT of work today ... And
these are not money-makers. These are WORK.

Which leads me to share this important
thought that I've realized while replying tons
of emails ...

"How long can you stand?"

How long can you continue to reply emails, read
more ebooks, surf the internet, read other
marketer's salesletter, creating your own content,
submit articles, generate keywords, etc if you
don't know what you're trying to achieve?

I mean, can you do that for 7 days a week?

The truth is, it won’t be possible for you
to complete everything by your own. If you
can, I'll like to hear how you do that because
I will definitely want to learn from you.

If you're not 'suffering' from any of these tasks,
you won't know how much time and energy
it'll eat you up. The next thing you know, you've
become an "employee" to your online business.

I'm not surprise you'll even win the "employee
of the month" award if there's such an award.

For instance, Emily's sick and she won't
be able to do anything today. She definitely
needs a good rest and I really hope she'll get
well soon.

But what if ... I fall sick as well today?

Then you won't be reading this email now.

I was reading a book by Michael Gerber
called the e-Myth ... teaching business owners
about how to build a successful small business
and stay happy.

Don't get me wrong -- I'm not saying that I'm
unhappy or anything. In fact, I'm very happy with
all of my online businesses today that are
generating more money than I've imagined possible.

Read that book. It's good stuff. He teaches
about systemizing a small business so that the
business owner won't be 'drowned' in it.

Another marketer who teaches very well about
this topic recently is Rich Schefren. Other
than that, I did pick up some tips from another
marketer, Mike Filsame on how to manage
emails. Now, I'm NOT going to give any direct
or affiliate links here because I don't want to
sell anything to you.

You see, most gurus teach about creating a
"system" for your online business.

Everybody understands that. Ideally, that's
what you should be focusing on -- EVERYDAY.

What you need to do now is to stop "doing"
anything related to making money online. Yup,
stop writing that darn article that you're
trying to complete for the past few hours.

What I want you to do (for your own good) is
to think ...

"Am I doing this to help me make money online?"

Stephen Pierce, a close friend and mentor of mine
taught me about creating a 'brand' for myself. From
that one idea, all of my online businesses is just to
enhance that brand and resolve around it. Anything
that is not directly related will be secondary priority.

So if your goal is to achieve a certain result
by the end of your dateline, are you doing what
you can today and tomorrow to reach that?

Let's say you don't have a website yet ...
should you be learning how to get traffic?

Again, this question is very subjective. Some
may say yes because it's going to help them
when the time is 'right'. Great. So if you know
when is the 'right' time like when your webpage
will be up and running, I have no argument that
you should start learning about traffic generation
this instant. But if you don't even know how to buy
a domain name yet, don't you think that the a better
immediate action item should be focusing on how
to set up the website first?

Lesson learned ... don't get distracted too much.
A little bit is fine. No one's perfect. You and me
will get distracted along the way.

Do you get emails requesting for joint ventures?

Here's how to evaluate the request ...

Does your participation in this JV will help you
to move closer to achieving your OWN GOAL?

Really, it's that simple.

(Tip: If you're sending a JV request to marketers,
seek for what goal of theirs that they're trying
to achieve. Supplement your proposal to help them
achieve what they want and your JV request
conversion will definitely be higher.)

Does that make you a bad person because you're
thinking of your own goal only?

Not really. I want to achieve my own goal first so
that I can spend more time with my aging parents
and grandma (She's 82 now). I want to be by Emily's
side each time she laughs and cheers. I want to
waste time watching movies. I want to sit by the
beach reading my favorite books. I want to play with
my dog. I want to do so many things including offering
my time to help those that need my help BUT ...

I can't do any of those if my own goals are not
achieved yet. So I think it's normal for everyone
to consider focusing on their own goals.

So here's the thing I want to share with you --

Your time is very valuable. Spend it wisely
to be super effective. Here are a few tips you
can start doing to 'create' more time for you
and your online business:

1. Delegate the tasks that others can do as good
as you or better. Like, packaging a product to be
shipped out. Now, can others do that? You bet.
Little things like these will save you a lot of
time in a long run.

2. Stay focused on what you're trying to achieve
from your online business. If your goal is to build
a website that will rank #1 in Google for the
keywords "frog jumping competition", I suggest
that you start focusing to build that website
and learn all you can about search engines. Forget
other courses temporarily that are unrelated to it like
affiliate marketing, email marketing, copywriting, etc.

3. Think first before you do anything. Are you doing
what you're supposed to do ... or you're just avoiding
doing the things you dislike?

4. If possible, follow a proven system to achieve
your goal. Anthony Robbins once said, "Success
leave clues". Pick up the clues from courses,
people, books, etc.

5. Don't fall sick. Just kidding. You can't stop
the act of nature. But you can prevent it. Stay
healthy by doing healthy stuff. Basically, eat
good food, exercise more and if you have some
extra budget, buy some health supplements.

I just realized I've 'spent' 37 minutes to write this
email! {FIRSTNAME}, this email is not helping me to get
closer to my goal. But it's fine if I've helped you in
anyway to be more successful in your online business.

So you see, you don't have to be rigid all the time.
It's fine to do things that your heart tells you. Listen
to "him". Listen to him more and you'll find out that
he's as smart (Maybe smarter!) than Mr. brain. (Smile)

How to sell an "idea" online

What's an "Offer"?

The offer is simply your value proposition... in
other words, what are you prepared to give your
customers in return for their money?

Each time you send a product promotion to your
mailing list or post a product to sell on your
websites, those are all offers.

You see, if you ask people for money, you actually
have to give them something in return. Logically, NO
ONE is going to give money to you for free.

The key to making this work is by delivering
something that has a high perceived value that
actually costs you less than the product's selling
price. That's how you make a profit, that's how
all businesses make a profit.

Generally, to make money is to sell a product.
Take the amount of sales minus your product cost
and you'll get the profit.

This is simple to understand and yet, some people
can get the equation right.

The difference between your COST and the PRICE
someone is willing to pay for your products is PROFIT.
When I say 'profit' I usually mean 'gross profit'...
you still have to deduct your fixed and variable
expenses as well as taxes to arrive at your net profit.

From this point forward I'm only talking about
gross profit, unless I state otherwise.

And there is not another product on the face of this
earth with more profit-ability than 'information'. In
many cases, especially online, your gross profit on
an information product is 100%... you can't get much
higher than that.

But there is a problem selling information products
that is not a problem with other types of products.

The first problem is that you cannot take a picture of
them. The only way to describe them is through your
words... your sales copy, the text describing your product.
And unlike their physical counterparts, ebooks and
digital products do not even exist in the 'real world'
they are electrons.

If you tried selling electrons, how far do you think
you would get? I don't think you can convince
someone to buy electrons (smile). In the purest form,
that's EXACTLY what you're selling.

But what you're selling is what the electrons
represent which are 'ideas'... right?

These electrons are not electrons anymore but ...
they are "ideas" now.

If you're selling an information product of any kind,
digital or paper based, you're selling 'ideas', right?

Those 'ideas' are just the beginning though.

You cannot sell JUST 'ideas' can you?

Let's say you tell the world that you have this
great IDEA... but you didn't TELL them what the idea
was... and you're willing to sell this "idea" to
the first buyer for $49... do you think it would sell?

Probably not... but you never know. Some people
will buy.

If you said, I have an idea about "how to make
$1 million dollars" and you tried selling it for $49,
you would probably get many more buyers now.

But then again, if you sell these ideas WITHOUT
a detailed explanation, you're going to get refunds
for your sales.

Generic ideas (Or answers) will not make you rich.
Like I said, even if you sell a lot of those, you'll
get refunds.

What you need are DETAILED IDEAS or NEW IDEAS
to convince your prospect to pay you money for them
without asking for any refunds.

Let me explain further what are detailed ideas
and new ideas.

A generic idea to make money from the stock market is
to buy the stock when the price is low and to sell
it when it's high.

Detailed ideas are telling them EXACTLY how they
can buy low and sell high. Also, you might want to
include the procedures to do this.

"New Idea" are telling them how they can make money
from stock market without buying low and sell high.
For instance, how to get the stocks for free and sell
them when they're listed. Now, I don't think it's
possible to get stocks for free ... but if it's possible,
isn't that a new idea? If you have these new ideas
and they CAN actually work, you can expect to sell a lot
of them on the internet.

Customers are looking for details and new ideas -- NOT
just an idea, even though that's what you told them
they would get.

If you want to hit a home-run with selling your
Ideas ...

Include the DETAILS in your product they never
expect to find... you give them more than just an
"idea" you give them MORE details, MORE information,
MORE advice than they thought they are going to
get – and BEST OF ALL, give them NEW IDEAS.

Think creatively how to sell your idea when you
have one in mind. Remember, detailed and new ideas.

The concepts are still the same!

I'm telling you -- selling digital products over
the Internet is one of the most profitable
businesses that you can consider doing.

And, not just a few digital products, but a
lot of them.

What can you sell?

1. Books
2. Reports
3. Manuals
4. Audio products
5. Video products
6. Images
7. Public domain works
8. scripts and software
9. Digital services such as web design
10. And much, much more...

The style of selling a product online is the
same as selling it offline. I mean, the concept
behind it will always stays the same. What has
changed is the medium of reaching the prospects
and the way how your product is being presented.

So logically, you can learn many 'tricks' from
the old-school marketers. One of them is
Eugene M. Schwartz -- a very famous copywriter.

I've managed to get some of his tips and
elaborate them to suit the online marketing
platform for you to read.

Yeah, it's free for you. Just plain good
content. Don't expect it to be packed with
A-Z stuff, it's only 5-page long. Download it

Learn strategies for email marketing

I am going to show you how to make money
non-stop so pay close attention.

If you have been a susbcriber of mine for
a while, you'll know that I believe in email
marketing as the fastest and most reliable
method of generating wealth online.

In my exclusive training program, the "Chan"
Do Internet Success System, I talk about
how much money you can make from building
a mailing list.

Now, I'm going to take you further than you
have ever gone and have ever thought you could
with a new course that has only one goal:

To make you money as fast as possible writing
simple emails like this one.

Unlike my training program, this course is
ONLY about email marketing - starting from
nothing and going way, way beyond to the
very pinnacle of success online using nothing
but email.

My experience and that of thousands of
successful online marketers agree on one thing:

The money is in the list. Finally, you'll
understand what that REALLY means.

So we are gong to start by setting up the
foundation you need for marketing by email, how
to build a huge list - I should say, a huge
responsive list. Huge lis-ts mean nothing
unless they are responsive.

We're going to talk in depth about writing
messages that create loyal readers and highly
responsive buyers.

We're going to talk about EVERY DETAIL of
Email marketing from start to finish so that
you'll be a MASTER at email marketing yourself,
in any niche you choose.

Many, many people predicted the death of email
marketing due to the high rate of spam everyone
is receiving, blogs taking over, etc

It's NOT happening.

Email marketing through publishing an ezine is
still the king of marketing online and will be
for a very long time.

If I thought email was dead I would not have
invested in more courses and tools related
to enhancing my email marketing techniques.

Although you may not believe me, email marketing,
the way I do it, is extremely profitable and the
one and still, 'killer app' online that could
make you rich. At the end of this course, you
WILL believe me because I'll show you real
life campaigns and you'll see first-hand the
kind of results that can be generated.

This course is for beginners as well as advanced
Marketers.

This whole course is delivered in video-tutorials
format so that you can 100% understand it easily.

I've watched them and I'm giving 2 thumbs up
recommendation ... go to:

http://www.automateinternetmarketing.com/emailloop

For the first 20 customers, I'm offering a special
bonus. Actually, 2 special bonuses.

You "Chan" Do It!

-Patric Chan

P.S: Put it this way -- If you can be an expert
in email marketing, you'll easily increase your
online income right now. The great thing about this
course is that, it's base on real-life, proven methods.
In fact, the video tutorial case studies will
give you more knowledge than reading 10 theoretical
email marketing ebooks. Nothing beats real-life proof
methods with a step-by-step instructions that can be
easily understood. Go to:

I'm giving this video away

I just got my hands on a new video
tutorial showing you how to make money
from eBay.com and CafePress.com

Making money online is confusing, there is
no doubt about that. There are just too many
products that promise this or that and there
is not enough teaching with straight talk.

This video will show you how to make money
automatically in one niche -- absolutely free.
And it has nothing to do with "information
marketing" or ebooks or "private label rights"
or email marketing or any of the typical stuff
you've been seeing lately. It's about selling
real products online by using eBay.com or
CafePress.com

The best part is ... this video is purely
created to give you real content without
having any intention to sell an "Upgrade"
version, etc.

Watch this 100% content, 20-minute video
for free at:

http://www.sfmillionaires.com/video/ebayvideo/index.html

I do sell the resale rights to this video if
you're interested to buy. Full details is at
the webpage from the link above.

Building Your Online Business With Email Marketing

Email marketing is one of the most effective marketing
methods nowadays simply because virtually almost all
people use email. Check on those email fields or
blanks required to be filled up on various forms
needed in processing different transactions, offline
or online. In my opinion, a person without an email
address will be considered weird for this generation.

At the same time, email marketing campaigns can offend
a lot of people.

The not-so secret way to surmount this dilemma is
through permission-based email marketing. It's stupid
to send email to all the people and get nasty replies.
Just send to those who shown interest in what you have
to tell.

The key to this predicament is to have a very
discerning eye on who to email and who to not email.
Better look for some metrics on how to know which
group of people would give you high ROI or return on
investment.

The Real Deal with Building Opt-in List

You see, building an opt-in list is not a piece of
cake particularly for the newbies.

Know which information from your audiences will help
you in lowering expenses and/or make sales flourish.
Devise a tactic to make people voluntarily provide you
with the information necessary to create higher
conversion. The most basic information you need to
start an email marketing campaign is the First Name
and Email address. The extras like phone number, last
name, mailing address, etc are useful but not
necessary.

Ask only for opt-in, with their first name and email
addresses. Make sure that the profiles that you gather
are updated to aid in improving the relevanceand
satisfaction from each deal you make.

Old adage says it all - 'action speaks louder than
words'. This easily translates to the difficulty one
has to undergo during the execution of his or her
email marketing efforts. It’s not just about sending
emails. If it’s not carefully structured, it can
leaves you with a very bad impression -- For you and
your subscribers.

Tracking your email marketing results can be a great
hardship, too. Technology and relevant sources should
be employed in making this aspect of your marketing a
lot manageable. The reason why you want to track is so
that you know how many clicks you’re getting and what
are the conversion rates.

Don't make your point of sale pointless.

Each time you sell something, make sure you collect
the customer’s email addresses. These are the most
responsive mailing list you can ever have.

Profit later, build your list first.

The easiest way to get someone to subscribe to your
mailing list is to offer a bribe. Give a valuable free
gift in exchange for their name and email address. I’m
not asking you to give away stupid gifts. If you want
to offer a gift, do it right in the first place. Make
sure that you’re giving a valuable gift for free or
else it’ll backfire because the content of your free
gift will reflect how deep is your knowledge of the
given niche market you are in.

Surprisingly ...

Having a website is not a guarantee that your online
business will succeed. How will you succeed if people
will not realize that your business exist online? The
key to Internet marketing is to get your business
noticed by having the ability to reach them at any
time that you want -- Which is by using email.

Decide on your niche market or your target market.

It is extremely important to know your target market
in order to focus on something. It would be really
confusing and time consuming if you will build an opt
in list with no particular market in mind. You
wouldn’t know what offers to present to your
subscribers. It’ll be silly to send golf related
offers to a list of subscribers who are interested
about flower arranging.

Moreover, having a niche market would bring more focus
on your marketing campaigns and would derive better
results because you have direct your emails to people
who would most likely be interested in them.

Verify if your chosen target market is
income-generating market.

Building a highly targeted opt in list will just go to
waste if your subscribers are not generating any
income at all. No money = No orders.

Try to verify their income-generating potential
through the search engines. You will find some paid
ads related to the keywords you have searched in
Google.com. This would only mean that if somebody is
willing to pay to advertise focusing on the same
target market that you have in mind, chances are, you
will be able to reap positive results on your target
market.

Generally, the main purpose of your email marketing is
to reach your target audience as quickly and as direct
as possible. You need to reach your target market so
as to promote your products and services that would
benefit your customers.

However, some businesses use email marketing in order
to maintain their contact and relationship with their
customers.

The reason why email marketing has grown in such
unprecedented rate is based on the fact that people in
the virtual community are always hungry for
information. They subscribe to information that they
are interested in. Besides, email are still free to
use, at this moment of my writing.

On the other hand, not all people are willing to
subscribe to such information.

They may be interested on your products once but may
no longer be interested to buy again. Moreover, when
you continue to send those emails that do not have
their permissions, you can be accused of spamming.

When you build an opt in list, you do not only
increase the probability of being successful in email
marketing but also boost your sales and profits as
well. This is because building an opt in list will
give you the chance to stay in contact with your
customers by getting their email address.

BUT ... this statement is only applicable if you know
how to write and send emails that can generate cash
for you.

In this manner, you can continue to promote your
products and services in which they are interested in
because they have opted to subscribe in your mailing
list. Hence, whatever it is that you feed them,
chances are, they will most likely respond positively.

The first thing that you need to consider before
getting your email read is to get your reader’s
attention to read your email. I know this sentence
sounds twisted but if you read it carefully again,
you’ll understand what I mean.

Write your emails as personal as possible

One of the most powerful personal email writing
strategy is The "Personal Story Opening".

This opening simply means that you include some
personal note about yourself in the opening sentence
with the objective being that everyone likes to do
business with a 'real' person.

In one of the messages above I stated in the opening,

"What a week... my computer monitor blew out and my
printer is spitting out garbage... "

Here's a few more examples of this type of opening:

"Before I got involved in Internet marketing, I was
selling organizing self-improvement seminars. I
started in 2003... and in my mind online business is a
nearly the "Perfect" business!"

If you're on my email list, you'll notice the personal
touch attached to most of my emails.

It's short ... but more importantly, it reminds my
subscribers that I'm a 'real person' behind these
messages they are getting.

Sometimes I talk about my hobby or something else
about my personal life that's brief and not too
revealing. It adds a touch of warmth, which some
subscribers need to make them more receptive to my
messages.

The key to the success of this opening is too make it
brief... one short sentence is all you need.
