The House Warming Party In Texas

In my last Sunday Email, I mentioned about a house warming party I've attended where I've met several impressive individuals.

And I did not tell you about the event's details because I've intended to write a whole page about it!

Here's the scoop...

Last week, Emily (my other half) and I flew to Texas for a one day house warming party. The flight took us about 30 hours to get there but it's definitely one of the greatest events I've attended.

It was Stephen Pierce's house warming in his brand new gigantic house in Texas. One thing I can say-- the house's impressive. Swimming pool, home theater, recording room, etc. You name it.

You see, Stephen invited many highly successful people to attend-- no, it's not a seminar. Nobody's giving speeches. And no money can get you an entry. It's by invitation.

Stephen Pierce welcoming all of his guests...

Hold on. There's a reason why I'm writing this today. And if you read between the lines, you'll pick up some valuable tips and advice that could make you think differently on how to be successful in life.

Basically, the movers and shakers of the internet marketing, self-improvement, direct marketing and business opportunities are all there.

What's interesting was the opportunity to meet with experts in different niches. I mean, it's great to meet with internet marketing people but I could have meet most of them at seminars.

But not names like Tim Ferris, author of "4 Hours A Week", Hale Dwoskin, founder of The Sedona Method, Patrick Coffey from Early To Rise, Joe Polish, Chris Chickering from Learning Strategies, Chet Holmes and John Carlton. Many more to be listed here.

Of course, it's always great to meet up with friends and associates in the internet marketing niche like Armand Morin, Russell Brunson, Mike Filsaime, Tom Beal, Jeff Walker and others. And it's good seeing John Childers again.

Limo prepared by Stephen to fetch us from the airport to our place. from left to right-- John Walker, Jeff Walker, Jay White, Patrick Coffey, Jason Potash and me.

A few people that worth mentioning. John Reese was there.

John Reese and me at the party.

This guy's an inspiration when it comes to building million dollar businesses. I wouldn't want to tell you John's story because he would be a better person to share it. After listening to his story, I realized how modest he is, based on how far he had achieved today. I was inspired.

You see, the next day after the party we (Emily, Alan Forrest Smith, Katherine (Alan's other half) and Asha Tyson) were listening to the 'history' of how John got his breakthrough in internet marketing. He didn't get his breakthrough on his first attempt. But he got it after facing so many obstacles and challenges that is beyond my expectation. But he never gives up. He's DETERMINED and he knows he WILL be successful. If you have that kind of burning desire, half of the battle is already won.

Another person is Patrick Coffey, the person behind Early To Rise. Young guy but sharp. You wouldn't know how 'big' he is because he doesn't tell until you start talking with him. Same goes with billionaire Bill Bartmann and Eben Pagan who made $20 million a year from his dating niche. The lesson is-- those who are 'there' don't need to shout how successful they are. Those who are not 'there' are those who need to ACT successful.

Eben Pagan of DoubleYourDating.com

Jay Abraham was there but I didn't manage to spend much time talking with Jay. Even just a few minutes speaking with him, there are words of wisdom to be captured. I can still remember he asked me, "Is your business big?" I asked back, "How big is considered big?"

Big enough to influence other people.

Lesson? It leaves an impact on me that if I'm not influencing other people in my niche, then I would definitely need 'readjust' my business strategy. I think ultimately, you need to create 'followers' of people that will be part of your growth.

Speaking with Jay Abraham.

I've met a lot more other individuals worth mentioning but it'll be too much to write. So I'm leaving my final opinion on Stephen Pierce.

He's a man with big heart. Think of it, he doesn't make a single cent by inviting over 80 influencers of internet marketing, self-help, direct marketing and business opportunities industries and he's willing to share his network- for free. I bet million dollar deals are currently in the progress because of this one day event.

A person is judge not by how he claimed himself to be or described by others-- But observations from his actions and intentions. Stephen Pierce is definitely a person who holds integrity at the highest level and able to execute success at his will.

End of the day, this whole write up is not about me or Stephen Pierce. But there's an undeniable 'secret' to all success— If you want to be successful, you cannot hide like a hermit. The most powerful resource you can have is nothing more than having a strong network of caliber people that are at your finger tips. And unfortunately, this doesn't happens overnight.

My only advice is you start building one today because it'll pay off when the time is right. And remember-- a relationship is not just about how to make more money. You'll learn more valuable lessons from other successful people about success, health, relationship, etc.

Don't know how or no where to begin? Well, how about start creating relationships by attending seminars, networking events, join memberships or online networking services like ryze.com or www.linkedin.com? Remember-- it has to start somewhere.

Sunday Email Part 14

**To avoid missing the next issue, go to www.SundayEmail.com now**

If you're new to my subscription and wondering what is a "Sunday Email", it's an email full of my rants, personal tips and opinions on marketing especially in the "internet marketing" niche. Sometimes, opinions on life. Whatever it is... it'll give you value after reading it.

You know-- sometimes my Sunday Emails can be harshed. Cuts through like a ninja's blade. But come on, they're my rants. If I want to keep everyone happy and write about the colorful rainbow, birds chirping, flowers blooming, etc then I should just opens up a nursery home and take care of children.

So if you can relate to what I wrote when reading it-- good because I know it had just served the purpose of helping people.

One more thing-- it'll offend marketers. I hope you're not the one.

Same Tactic But Not Same Result

There are two schools of teachings for internet marketing. Most people got them upside down-- no wonder they're frustrated with no result.

And most internet marketers are not telling you this otherwise they won't be able sell you all kind of crap until you're dead broke. Ok, I'm just kidding.

I'm going to start with a hint—

If you're not doing niche marketing, why in the world are you buying 100 niche resale rights products for $10?

Oh, I got it. Someone who buys this can sell this package to someone else! Smart eh. Then THAT someone else can sell to someone else and it'll become an endless loop until an unfortunate, innocent buyer could not sell it anymore. Sounds like a crappy scam to me.

I'll rather buy a nice lunch with that ten bucks. Sorry, I should be advising you to spend it 'wisely'. Maybe, go grab a report that will teach you a thing or two about making money from resale rights.

But of course, if you can use all of these products to sell to end users, then you just got one of the best deal ever.

THIS IS THE WORLD OF MARKETERS SELLING TO MARKETERS.

There are marketers out there teaching YOU how to make money by selling another internet marketing course or product.

Then there are marketers who teach you how to make money online OUTSIDE of the internet marketing niche by selling to end users/consumers.

Don't get it confuse because the strategy for success is different.

Well, the problem with the first category is this-- You can't be sure that they really know how to make money online. I know it sounds ridiculous. Here's how they make money online-- They have a huge list. Pretty obvious. And they have a network of Joint Venture (JV) partners that do cross promotion. That's HOW they make money. Done deal. A very smart one too because I can't think of a better leverage than this. I'm not envying this because I'm partially practising this tactic too, except that I have other online businesses selling to end users.

So try taking away their list and association of JV partners. Of course they'll make money again in the internet marketing niche because they can start contacting new endless JV partners. But do you see the ironic part behind all of these? I'm not even going to point it out because it's so obvious.

Then there's another category of marketers-- They make money online by doing what they teach in different niche. Say, they might have a blogging course selling in the market BECAUSE they're making money online blogging in the pets niche or health or whatsoever niche imaginable.

Like recently, there was a course teaching people how to make money from memberships and I'm sure they know what they're teaching. Simply because they have all kind of memberships that are making money for them.

But you know what— MOST marketers who are making a truckload of money online do not have any course to teach about internet marketing. That sucks.

I mean, I was at a house warming party recently where I've met people like Eben Pagan of DoubleYourDating.com, Hale Dwoskin of Sedona.com, Tim Ferris of timferriss.com, etc. They don't have courses teaching you how to make money online. Ok, Eben has one but it'll cost you $10K. And I met John Reese. That guy's an inspiration when it comes to making money online. He rarely goes out to teach people nowadays because he's already so busy making millions in all kind of internet businesses.

Hold on. If you're sensing some sorta negative energy towards marketers that teach internet marketing but do not have any 'real' online business, STOP. You're missing the point here. As a matter of fact, they are adding value to the internet marketing community or else you and me will not learn new stuff.

Like someone who creates a software to submit videos to video directories but doesn't has his own video or submitting any for his own benefit. Who cares! As long as it works for his buyers, that's all counts.

So there's no right or wrong. I don't care if you're a marketer selling to marketers or end users because it doesn't affect my life. Serious. This is just my rant.

Same tactics give different result in different market.

Like previously, I was reading an ebook that reveals a tactic to sell affiliate program through Google Adwords. The trick was to bid on the product's name. So if the product name is called Chan Do Internet Success System, then the keyword to be bid is "Chan Do Internet Success System". That makes sense because during a product launch, there's going to be a lot of people searching for that keywords.

But if you're applying it in a niche market, expect to be disappointed. Say, the product you're trying to promote is "Dog Training Made Easy". Guess how many people will search for that keywords. Hmm. You see, most of them don't even know such title of an ebook existed! They probably found the site from search engines when they're searching for "how to train a dog".

Am I saying that it won't work? It's up to you to test it on your own, my friend.

When an opportunity hits in front of you, you need to know how to grab it. Like if you know how does the internet marketing game works and who David Vallieres is, you'll instantly invest in the license for UNSTUCK Seminar Resale Rights. I got 8 customers bought it right away within 24 hours. But if you have no clue about this fantastic deal, you'll probably think the money is better use to buy 99 resale rights products because they're all the "SAME" to you. Heck, you can even spend less than $50 for those. You want? I'll sell to you and you'll still be a happy camper not knowing what hits you.

Well, good luck selling the 99 resale rights products.

Then there are people buying the rights to internet marketing course when they have no clue how to build an online business strategically. I really wish I can help to point out the right direction but I really don't know where to start.

For a start— What's the purpose to sell the course?

Is it to build a list?

Is it to build your reputation in the internet marketing community?

Or is it just to make money online? If this is the answer and you're a newbie, I think it's going to be loooooonnng ride.

Then have you research the volatility of the product?

How about who's your potential customer and what are the tactics to reach them?

But if I'm not a newbie, I can just forget about all of these and promote to my list because I've already have the answers. Reality bites.

What's the lesson here?

You got to know what you're buying, bucko. The tactics applied in internet marketing niche might work successfully there but screwed in other niche markets. You got to know whether it's a product for internet marketers (marketers who sell to marketers) or business owners (marketers who sell to end users). And then you got to know what business you're in.

Like one guy was selling a course about niche marketing. His current niche? Selling an internet marketing software to internet marketers to locate JV partners. Sometimes, it really makes me wonder whether they can tell the difference or not.

One distinction is that the strategy taught in the product might be universally applicable like the business model of building a mailing list or how to get search engine ranking through backlinks. But the tactics are probably not generating the same results.

Another lesson worth pondering:

You can definitely make a lot of money online. What you want to do is to understand whether you're selling to marketers or end users. Like I said, I have no doubt that both will make you money. But they'll give you the different sense of achievement.

Once you know your true direction, you need to draft out your business model. This will eliminate unnecessary distractions when you're sorting for the right resources and people to help you. It'll help you to leave the latest fad. My best suggestion is this-- make a lot of money online selling to end users first. After that, create courses to sell to marketers because it's a lucrative market. Besides, this gives you much more confident, satisfaction and pride.

When I was at the house warming mentioned earlier, I've also met billionaire, Bill Bartmann. As what I know from his website, he charges $100,000 for 20 hours one-on-one coaching. I've watched his DVD before and I like what he taught— He was speaking on a stage teaching people about entrepreneurship and success because he has earned the rights to do so. How many marketers out there have "earned" their rights?

If you have been reading the "Sunday Email" series, I'll always ask for your favor to leave a Comment if you find value of what you've read. It'll be most appreciated because I read all of them personally. (smile)
