This announcement will automatically turns into good news for them! Secondly, there could be new visitors and subscribers that did not know about the recent price reduction. They might think that the Chan Do Internet Success System Home Course is ALWAYS priced at this lower price and thus, does not triggers them to take advantage on it. But when there's an offer, people are keen to take on it.

At the same time, you need to create a story and your reason for promotion must be true.

I mean, if I just lowered my selling price without any apparent true reason and announce it, it can be counter effective to the extent of making it worse. You see, lowering price DOES NOT means MORE SALES. Get that to your head.

When price is lowered without a reason, prospect can end up thinking that the product must not been selling well in the market. Or the quality of the course is not good anymore.

This is because of human psychology – we're used to get discounts when the clothes are out of season or good deals when the car model is no longer the latest.

And a story helps to create a better reason and the likelihood of the prospect to understand your current situation.

How To Make Money Online Faster Than Others

On the internet, there's one way how you can be in business in less than 10 minutes by leveraging on other people's time, effort and money.

That is by obtaining resale rights to another product.

There are resale rights products available in all sorts of niche markets but you'll see them more common in the business opportunities, home business, internet marketing and self help niche.

(This is a quick case study result so I won’t dig deep into the resale rights opportunity like how to find resale rights products, how to evaluate the quality, etc.)

The problem with this opportunity is that, you're competing with other resale rights owner. So you got to know how to make money faster than others before the product's value drops.

Instead of giving you theories, here's an actual case study – I bought the resale rights to a self help course called, BANABU that cost me $997.

So how to reach the prospect before other resellers?

Search engines but the problem is, I'm not ranked at page #1 of Google.com

The solution is to use Google Adwords (if this is new to you, you can read about it at www.google.com/adwords).

But instead of selling the course, here's what my ad says:



You see, as the resale rights owner, I was also given the rights to sell the subscription product as well, which is Banabu Boost Audio Newsletter. The 'recommended' marketing technique was to sell BANABU Course for $47, give 2 months free of Banabu Boost Audio Newsletter that sells for $19 a month and hope that the customer will continue with the subscription.

The only difference that I'm doing is REVERSING the angle. When they click on my ad, I'll ask them to signup for 2 months subscription at $19 a month. That would be a total sum of $38 but I'll ask for an extra $9 for the handling and shipping fee, which adds up to $47. SAME AMOUNT.

When they take this up, they'll get BANABU Course for free.

And since I'm going to ship them the physical audio newsletter ANYWAY, they'll get the BANABU Course in a physical CD package nicely in a DVD cover. No extra shipping cost to me.

By just doing this – not only that I can make money faster than the rest (by using Adwords), but I'll get more sales because I'm including the physical package when others are just providing the digital versions. I'm giving both – which automatically gives me the advantage against other resellers.

And here's my ultimate secret – by doing this, I make autopilot income.

You see, my customers purchased because of the Banabu Boost Audio Newsletter offer and they'll automatically be billed every two months for two subscriptions. While other resellers are selling the $47 BANABU Course and HOPING that they'll signup for the newsletter later on. Chances are, they end up making one time sale.

When I pull up my sales stats, it shows on average, each customer drops off after the second billing. It may seem not attractive, but I've already increased my revenue 100% by DOING NOTHING.

And because it's set to charge a 2-month subscription, I've already made more compare to monthly billing.

At the end, the project pulls in 63 customers which resulted $5,734. That's an increase of 5 times return of investment, not counting all of the other sales generated from other marketing strategies and building a new list of customers.

Where to get content in 5 minutes

Recently, I was struggling to find new content for my subscribers in the hobby niche market.

It's been almost a week and I've haven't email anything to them. You see, each week, my freelance writer will write an article for that niche but somehow, she didn't write. So now, I got to find a good content to send out by myself.

But writing articles will take way too long and with my limited knowledge of that niche, it'll take hours.

So here's how I get valuable content in less than 5 minutes, dead simple but highly effective:

Go to http://www.blinkx.com

Use video of others as your content instead of writing an article!

Enter the keyword of your niche and Blinkx.com will pull out related videos in seconds.

Whatever is your niche, it's highly possible you'll find real content or 'how to' videos that you can use for free. Take that video and post it on your blog or website.

If you're in the 'cake baking' niche, there will be videos showing how to bake a cake.

If you're in the self help niche, there will be clips of seminars where the speaker is doing the presentation.

If you're in the car niche, there will be all sort of stunts, how to repair car or funny videos.

Got the point?

Once I've done this, I sent out an email to my subscribers to watch the video on my blog. Not only it's instant free valuable content, my subscribers enjoyed it more than reading the dull articles each week!

And it gets even better. My blog is getting free traffic from YouTube.com (the video was found from Blinkx.com) because my blog's url got embedded in the video at Youtube.com.

Go to http://youtube.com/watch?v=yJPHGtF1F7g now and check. The fifth place, which is only 25 clicks – it'll be a piece of cake for you to overtake this spot because when you drive traffic from your subscribers to watch your video on your own blog, I believe that you’ll have more than 25 viewers.

How to have 78% opt-in conversion

First of all – I want to tell you that there's a reason why I'm sharing my own tracking result and techniques for free. You'll find out why after reading – it has nothing to do with buying any courses.

I use Aweber for my autoresponder.

If yo're long in the internet marketing niche, you'll know that conversion at 78% is VERY HIGH. Anyone getting 40% will probably be celebrating. I know this to be true because most of the launches that I've promoted normally convert at less than 34% on their squeeze pages or optin pages.

A little bit of history for the case study– this is an opt-in page for a new product I've launched at www.youchanbewealthy.com which has NOTHING to do with internet marketing. Other than selling in the internet marketing niche, I have several other online businesses – especially those in niche markets that are not exposed.

"Do you want to know how to increase your opt-in conversion based on real life proof?"

The common one you'll hear is on the site design and the copy. I would say that's true, in general. But it's not the universal truth because if you were to 'steal' someone's converting page and copy for your own use, there's no guarantee you'll get the same conversion. This is simply because you do not know the mechanism going on at the back. Does that make sense? It'll help, but I wouldn't bet on it's success.

It's what your copy's promising – THE OFFER. What will they get if they decide to subscribe. I've also conducted a test of numerous offers – giving more free gifts to get visitors to subscribe DOES NOT equal to higher conversion. And even if they do, what are the chances that they'll remain as your subscriber or read your future messages?

The main concern you need to focus for getting higher opt-in conversion is identifying the traffic source. Just by realizing this will make you richer. Put it this way – if your opt-in page is about 'golf swings' and it's being read by a golf player, he'll be more likely to subscribe than a car mechanic. Stop trying to get more traffic but focus on only targeted traffic source. They'll more likely to subscribe and buy from you at later stage. This is 'basic' but most people ignore it because it's more 'exciting' to get traffic.

The next part is, is your credibility which you have. I mean, you can throw a stupid copy and you'll still get people to subscribe if you're known for giving real value.

And credibility has a lot to do with relationship – how you connect with your website visitors and previous subscribers. If they've gained great content from your site or list, they'll be more likely to subscribe-- regardless of whether you'll be promoting any products to them.

So that's why I'm sharing this information for free. When I post valuable content on the blog, the visitors will be more interested to subscribe to my list because they'll be able to know it's the real deal - that I teach based on results and proof.

And my current subscribers will be more likely to subscribe to other opt-in page I recommend because the relationship is already built.

Just to make sure everyone awares why bumping up conversion is so critical - assuming you get 1,000 visitors. If your conversion is only 20%, you'll be getting 200 new subscribers. If you can increase it to 50%, that's an extra 300 subscribers into your list. Assuming you stick to only 20% conversion, it'll take you 2,500 visitors to get the same result as a 50% conversion page.

And let's say, it'll just cost you $0.10 cent per click from Google Adwords - that's an extra $150 cost which you can use to pay for your hosting, autoresponder, shopping cart, etc EACH MONTH.

Now, just increase 1,000 to 10,000 over a period of time - you'll end up spending $1,500.

But if you work on your conversion each time you want to build a mailing list, it'll just take you one time effort to make it right in the first place.

Re: Responsibility vs. Money

I use that to stir my hot drink every morning.

But one day, I realized this:



The mixer is rusting internally and I'm eating the rust without knowing it at all! I guess you know how harmful it gets if you eat rust every morning, even its small amount.

Needless to say, I was very upset why there are companies that forego people's health for the sake of profit or making money. If the company would have manufactured it by using good material like stainless steel, this wouldn't be happening. But they might sell less because the price of the mixer will be more expensive.

Marketers need to be responsible. That's it, no question about it.

You probably see products are being created and released or launched to the market, non-stop to generate income from product sales. I'm very sure that most of them have good intention to give great value.

Today's rant is about YOU. Ask yourself – are you a responsible marketer?

Do you create, release or launch a product because of your intention to help others or it's because you want to make money? Whatever the answer is, you know the truth for yourself. Dude, I'm not talking about the cheesy stuff. You still want to make as much profit as possible because that's what a good business person will do but for everyone's benefit, be responsible in making sure that you give your best. Don't cut corners.

It's obvious that more poor quality mixers will be sold because no one will know until they start using it- but more people will be harmed.

If you're in the internet marketing niche, this is highly related to you.

By creating valuable product, you'll not make more money online in short term because you'll spend more time to develop it and on customer support. But in long term –you'll make more because you'll have repeat customers who trust you.

So this leads me to say that, many entrepreneurs failed because they're short sighted. End of the day, business is build based on trust and credibility. EVERYTHING. From the sales conversion to getting Joint Venture partners. Trust and credibility.

Believe it or not, it's actually easy to become a responsible marketer. Just make sure whatever you sell, WORKS. Like my friend, Jo Han Mok once sold an opportunity to start an adult supplement business simply because he is making money doing that. Not some fluffy theories.

This is probably the shortest Sunday Email I've wrote – but I think if we realize the value of being responsible and integrate that into our business principle, you'll get respect and admiration – and of course, more people will like to do business with you.

You know-- sometimes my Sunday Emails can be harshed. Cuts through like a ninja's blade. But come on, they're my rants. If I want to keep everyone happy and write about the colorful rainbow, birds chirping, flowers blooming, etc then I should just opens up a nursery home and take care of children.

So if you can relate to what I wrote when reading it-- good because I know it had just served the purpose of helping people.

One more thing-- it'll offend marketers. I hope you're not the one.

Feel Annoyed When Others Beat You?

Don't you hate it when others are doing better than you?

Come on, be real. You can say no if you want because it really doesn't concern me that much.

I got this thought to share with you because this is what I felt lately. You see, I've been slacking in my business and I think I've become less competitive in the internet marketing niche. Even in product launches, sometimes, I get to be in the top 10 list.

And I'll start to compare with other marketers that I know. Like darn, that guy's having another product launch today and mine's just at the conceptualize stage. Or another marketer just declares he made half a million each month.

So I'm comparing with marketers who are at higher level, same level and lower level.

Doesn't it make you feel uncomfortable when you're 'losing'? This is the part which I don't get it. YOU'RE NOT LOSING. You're minding other people's business!

If you can shut off the noises out there, I can bet that you'll do better.

When you're comparing to someone else's success or trying to achieve what he's getting, it'll be a good idea to check whether you have the same resources, network, experience, knowledge and team. Trying to emulate success and dreaming is two different things. You can WISH that you'll sell millions of books like Rich Dad Poor Dad as an inspiration but be practical of how many you'll be able to sell.

I get this all the time – people come to me and said they want to reach millions of people online or make $1,000 a day on autopilot from Adsense. The question is, what's your evidence that you can achieve that? There's a saying, 'A thousand mile starts with a single step' by Confucius.

And I can't blame this wishful thinking because they are trying to emulate those who have achieve that. Or, being 'brainwashed' by marketers who said they can because these marketers got to sell their courses or seminars. I get those as well when I first started out. Part of the cycle of 'growing up'.

I've become slack lately and I'm going to continue slacking. Why? Because I realized that I'm actually not making less money on the internet and I've become a less stressful dude. Ask my wife. The only thing is, I'm 'losing' to other marketers. But to think of it – why in the first place would I want to start an internet business? Yeah, to make money and have more time in life – not to 'win'.

It's something hard to let go but if you would just FOCUS on your own business and attempt to reach your own goal, I think you'll soar. First, it will not be a ridiculous goal. I mean, if you're making $5,000 a month from your job, you would probably hope that you can make $2,000 online first and hopefully, in a couple of months, it'll reach $5,000 so you can quit your job or something. Or still keep it because you actually enjoy your work. You see, you raise your bar to achieve $30,000because you see what others are achieving but in reality, you're not them.

Secondly, you'll not get distracted mentally and emotionally.

Don't believe me? Here's an example – you see your competitor using this latest strategy and you know he learns from a $997 course. Because you don't want to lose out, you bought the same course. The problem is, THIS MAY NOT BE part of your original plan. You might not need this strategy and your $997 could be invested into other course or tools that are align with what you're currently doing.

Of course, please DO NOT misinterprets this statement. You SHOULD buy the latest course because it'll give you the edge. If you don't upgrade your brain or use advance tools for your internet business, you'll be wiped out like dinosaurs. But always get from the reliable source and fit in to what you're doing right now.

Action plan:

1.Know what your business model is.

2.Set the outcome that you want to achieve.

3.Find the ways to reach it.

What I Learned From Adsense

The IDEAL dream of Adsense business is simple – build a website, attract a lot of visitors and get them to click on your Adsense ads to get paid.

It's obvious why most people like this – it's a 'lazy' job. I like it too. There's no 'work' involved because you don't need to create products, follow up with prospects, provide customer service, creating marketing tools, etc.

Not surprisingly, a lot of people want to learn how to make money from Adsense. That's why there were a lot of courses on this topic previously.

And the funny part is, there's ALMOST nothing special to learn about it because what you need to know is nothing more than how to get free traffic (search engines). Of course, the nitty gritty parts include keyword research, site structure, Adsense ad placing, Adsense ad design and Adsense ad tracking.

Well, actually, keyword research and site structure are part of search engine optimization. You can learn about Adsense ad placing, design and ad tracking in one single ebook or search around internet marketing forums.

But in conclusion – if you can drive free traffic to a website, YOU WILL make money with Google Adsense.

However, Adsense is not how it used to be. Most marketers who use to make a lot of money in Adsense are not making that much anymore. We (my wife and me) used to make 5-figure income from Adsense alone but it's just a couple of hundreds now.

So when someone tells you he's going to teach you about Adsense, ask him if he's still making the 5 or 6 figure income from it today. He's probably making money selling you his Adsense course, which I believe, is less important than learning how to get free traffic.

Back in 2006, I've partnered with another marketer to create an Adsense course called, The Publishing Business Secrets Home Course and we've took out that product from the market place because the strategies are not working anymore. They're obsolete.

If you want to know, here's how we do it – blogging.

We use all kinds of software to auto research keywords, generate content, publish and optimize in the search engines. We're talking about hundreds of thousands webpages being created on autopilot. We were riding on the 'wave' but since it wasn't 'natural', the whole business collapses. Yeah, it sucks but we learned.

We learned one thing – THE POWER OF BLOGGING. By the way, two of the most famous blog software, Wordpress and Blogger are free.

If I was to start again, I'll use blogging to attract free traffic from the search engines because it's proven to work like a charm. And then, I'll promote affiliate programs and build a mailing list so that I'll have a list of prospect at anytime given.

One thing I have to admit, I'm not a guru for blogging. But I know of a personal friend of mine who's doing it and earned $1,152,000 a year doing this with another marketer. I think a million is a lot of money for doing nothing 'unique'.
